Sma Mathibeli born in Diepkloof Zone 6 Soweto, raised by her lategrandmother Gertrude Mbatha . She is the last-born and the only girl of the late Pearl Fikile Mbatha, who she inherited her acting talent from. Sma has stared in numerous TV series and commercials since 2002.

Through her creative radio content producing, She has been recognized as one of the people who are making their mark in the media industry, whether on air or behind the scene. Sma’s inherent creative skill brings a tangible difference to which ever production or project she’s involve in.

MTN Radio awards has describe Sma Mathibeli as a Future Radio Leader, someone who has an intrinsic understanding and love for the industry, respects its past, and has great ideas about its future. She has produced two Biggest Radio shows in Africa under the SABC Radio – Ukhozi Fm. Her career highlights with the station was being part of the team that creatively showcased Ukhozi FM to different advertising agencies ,coming up with creative and innovative campaigns that clients can use when advertising on Ukhozi FM , to name a few which are still the stations biggest clients which I worked on ;South African Product

(SANP) Edmak Products, Ithala Bank, heading the team for Ukhozi Breakfast show Stake Holders Gala Dinner and leading the Africa Month Campaign. Before joining Ukhozi FM her radio journey stared with Gagasi FM as a senior Content Producer. During her tenure at Gagasi FM she was able to take the station to new heights by forging partnerships with established and successful brands such as ETV and being a media partner to the ETV Pop stars, which got the station major coverage on the television channel. There she also worked and lead projects such as of Society of Family Health, Show off your romantic side (Speed dating) MTV MAMAS 2010 and more.

Her Capability with dealing with different kinds of audiences, handling diverse campaign’s execution and implementation has given her and in-depth understanding of content development, audience trends and audience development an all round medium’s fantastic concept.

Her understanding of how valuable an audience or listener is in this medium, she has always made it her business to create content that speaks to their hearts. While on radio as content producer she has learnt that while it’s important to have a big listenership it’s equally imperative that the station advertising revenue compliments or reflects that as well.

She carries over a decade experience that motivated her to venture into business.
